University of Phoenix’s Ruth Veloria joins Arouet Foundation’s Workforce Advisory Panel
University of Phoenix’s Chief Strategy and Customer Officer Ruth Veloria has joined the Arouet Foundation’s inaugural Career Assessment Skills Enhancement (CASE) Workforce Advisory Panel, a group formed to create workforce development opportunities for women transitioning out of Arizona’s correctional system.
The advisory panel, which began meeting on 30 October 2024, will support Arouet’s mission to empower women through workforce training, mentorship, and skills development.
The Arouet Foundation, established in 2011, serves over 2,500 women annually, providing resources and support aimed at reducing recidivism and enabling long-term career and life success.
Veloria, who brings years of experience in strategy, customer experience, and workforce development, joins other panelists in advising on future workforce trends, training models, and direct mentorship for women completing Arouet programs.
“I am honored to join the Arouet Foundation’s CASE Workforce Advisory Panel,” Veloria stated.
“The foundation’s commitment to supporting second chances and promoting career success for women affected by the justice system is truly inspiring. I look forward to contributing to their mission and working with my fellow panel members to empower women in building stable, self-sufficient lives.”
Veloria has been with the University of Phoenix since 2009, where she leads strategy, customer experience, and workforce initiatives, focusing on student success and workforce alignment. Before her role at the university, she held positions in strategy and customer management at Booz Allen, BCG, and Charles Schwab.
Alison Rapping, CEO of Arouet Foundation, welcomed Veloria’s involvement, saying:
“We are excited to have Ruth Veloria join our CASE Workforce Advisory Panel. Her expertise in strategy and workforce development will be a tremendous asset as we work to create opportunities for women transitioning out of the correctional system.
“At Arouet, we believe in second chances and are dedicated to helping these women build stable, self-sufficient lives. Ruth’s involvement will greatly enhance our efforts.”
