Crayon and Kahoot! forge strategic alliance in EdTech

Crayon, an IT services and innovation company, has announced a partnership with Kahoot!, a global learning and engagement platform.

Crayon has a history of providing educational solutions to over 400 institutions globally, and the partnership with Kahoot! represents an extension of its efforts to improve educational experiences through technology.

Since its inception in 2013, Kahoot! has evolved from a quiz tool to a learning platform, supporting over 8 million teachers with tools for lesson planning, assessment, and student-centered learning, now including AI enhancements.

Kahoot! CEO Eilert Hanoa stated the partnership aims to expand their reach in the educational sector, combining Crayon's technological expertise with Kahoot!'s learning platform to improve educational outcomes for teachers and students:

“We see this collaboration as a pivotal step in expanding our reach and impact in the educational sector. Joining forces with Crayon’s technological expertise and established academic network will help us to significantly enhance the learning experience for educators and students alike.”

Crayon plans to incorporate Kahoot!’s offerings into its services for educational providers, simplifying the deployment of technology solutions and ensuring compliance, cost-effectiveness, and educational impact.

The partnership will also aim to optimise the use of Kahoot! for existing users by enhancing their subscription value.

Ole Bjarne Mogård, Senior Advisor for Learning and Technology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, said of the partnership:

“With Kahoot! our lecturers have an easy and efficient tool to create and deliver high-quality content that meets the educational needs of their students. This while the gamified learning experience allows the students to actively participate and engage with the content as we meet them on a platform they already feel native to and enjoy. So it’s really a win-win.”

Michael Jacobs, Crayon's Executive Vice President of Nordics, acknowledged the challenges of engaging students in learning, ““Every day, we see the challenges that universities and corporations face when trying to make learning more accessible and engaging.

“The synergy of our core values and industry expertise will help educational institutions and corporations empower people to meet their true potential. Together Crayon and Kahoot can help make learning more accessible and fun.”
