Multiverse, a company focused on addressing skills gaps through personalized, on-the-job learning, has expanded its leadership team with two key appointments.

Helen Greul has joined as Vice President of Engineering, and Asha Haji takes on the role of Vice President of Operations. The appointments align with Multiverse's continued growth and technological ambitions.

The additions follow recent leadership changes, including the hiring of Jillian Gillespie as CFO and the appointment of Martha Lane Fox to the board.

Helen Greul brings over 15 years of experience in the tech industry, including her work at Spotify, where she contributed to the launch of the podcast platform in 2018. Most recently, she led the development of Backstage, Spotify’s open-source product designed to improve developer workflows.

Greul said, “Growing up in a family of educators, I understand the transformative power of education. In the current macroeconomic environment, where upskilling is a necessity for every field, I’m looking forward to creating a learning experience in which the next generation of talent can learn the skills they need to thrive.”

Asha Haji, an entrepreneur and edtech innovator, founded and successfully exited her own company, Framework. She has also held leadership roles at Education First and secured investments from notable organizations, including Google’s Black Founders Fund.

Haji’s career spans multiple functions, including sales, talent acquisition, and product management, equipping her with the skills to enhance Multiverse’s operational capabilities. Haji said, “I'm passionate about helping people from all backgrounds grow further in their careers and develop technical aptitude. I’m hugely excited by Multiverse’s mission and look forward to helping it tackle the problem of delivering high-quality, applied learning at scale.”

Euan Blair, Founder and CEO of Multiverse, highlighted the significance of these appointments. “Continuing to build a world-beating senior team is essential for Multiverse to achieve its ambitions,” said Blair. “I’m beyond excited to be welcoming two more brilliant individuals to the organization, who will help continue our rapid growth in the right way and enable us to realize our far-reaching ambitions.”

In 2022, Multiverse secured $220 million in Series D funding, earning the company its status as the UK’s first edtech unicorn.
